2 Kings 7:9 "Then they said one to another, We do not well: this day is a day of good tidings, and we hold our peace: if we tarry till the morning light, some mischief will come upon us: now therefore come, that we may go and tell the king's household".

The four lepers were hungry and were trying to get into the city. According to Elisha's prophecy, the Lord had already driven the Syrian army from there. When the lepers entered the camp, they found silver, gold, and all the food they needed to eat in the tent.

In that situation, a thought occurred to them. They should not be the only ones to enjoy this benefit. They felt that they should tell others about this good news. They knew that it was wrong for them to be silent on this day. Then they said, "Let us go and tell the good news." And they announced the good news to the people of Israel.

Likewise, today, everyone who has tasted the word of God should come forward to proclaim that good news to others. Many are suffering from a spiritual hunger that cannot taste the word of the Lord.
