Song Of Song 4:9

"You have captured my heart; My sister! My bride! You have captured my heart with one of your eyes and a string around your neck.”

'You have captured my heart; My sister! My bride!” That is what Jesus Christ says to the congregation. In other words, Jesus Christ is referring to the fact that the congregation has been conducted so that the Lord's heart rejoices because of the congregation's good behavior. To be attracted is to live pleasing to God; If so, he will be blessed with a suitable conversion. And to be pleasing to Him and to do His will, it is said, 'This is what you have won over to my heart.'

Jesus Christ is shown as an elder brother to the church. So we can see that the congregation is referred to here as sisterhood. Scripture tells us that the church is the sister and bride of Jesus Christ. When we see how we are brothers and sisters of Jesus, in John 3:16, God has said about Jesus Christ that he is his only begotten son. In John 1:12 he has given us permission to become children. When we compare these two verses, we can see that Jesus Christ is compared to the elder brother of the church by saying that Jesus Christ is his only begotten Son and we are also his children. Based on this relationship, he compares the church as a sister and Jesus Christ as the bridegroom.

"You have captured my heart with one of your eyes and a necklace around your neck." We see that Jesus Christ says here. We generally know that man has two eyes, but here he is referring to the mental eye, which is the eye of the soul. In Ephesians 1:19, Paul mentions that he prays to be given clear eyes. He says that it is after His heart that we communicate and speak to Him through our spiritual eyes. And it is said that by a string around the neck. This word is the prophetic word of the Lord, and the revelation of the word of the Lord, which is said in Ezekiel 16: 11,12. That is, the church, you are mine and through me you will receive spiritual adornment and you will be blessed by me. Christ reveals to us through this word. Pharaoh clothed Joseph with a crown of gold, and Jesus Christ, the King and Bridegroom, clothed us with a crown.

The spiritual blessings that the Lord Jesus Christ has given us today are hanging around our neck like a thread. Christ tells us that it pleases Him. When we look at this verse from a spiritual point of view, obedience to God's word is clearly defined. However, when we look at the verse Proverbs 1:8,9, Solomon mentions that obeying the word of our parents is a chain around our neck. Here our obedience to the word of the Lord is compared to the work of a rope in excellence. The word "one of the eyes" also relates to the soul. What does this mean? As stated in Deuteronomy 11:13, we must "love Him with all our soul (even with thine eyes) and obey His will." Then His heart will be filled and He will bless us. He says that it is beautiful in the eyes of Jesus Christ that the church receives spiritual blessings and is exalted.

Are you whole-souled, loving, and keeping the commandments?
