'Your lips are like scarlet thread, and your voice is pleasant; Your cheeks are like bursting pomegranates between your veils.”
A sinless word must be with us and proceed from us through the lips. The red thread represents blood. Our lips should be those touched by the wounded red hands of Jesus.
(1) When looking at the scriptures about the lips, in Isaiah 6:7, when Isaiah's lips were touched by the Lord, he realized his sin and was sanctified. After that he devoted himself to proclaiming the word of God to the people of Israel.
(2) As stated in Malachi 2:6, when the word of God is in a man's mouth, iniquity shall not be found on his lips.
(3) In Ephesians 13 : 15 the sacrifice of thanksgiving is to be found, the fruit of the lips of those who have been touched and sanctified by Jesus Christ.
Congregation, when you are touched by the red hand of Jesus wounded on the cross, you are sanctified and offer a sacrifice of thanksgiving to Christ, it is beautiful in his sight.
'Thy word is pleasing;' What is said is that the word that comes through lips that have been touched and sanctified by the Lord is pleasing to Christ. When we see it in the scriptures,
(1) It is said in John 15: 10, 11 that when we walk according to the commandments of the Lord, His joy will remain in us. And it is our duty as a church to hold on to the visions and make them known to others.
(2) It is said in Proverbs 16:13 that righteous lips are pleasing to kings. Today we who have been justified by Christ will be pleased with us when we speak righteous words.
(3) In Ps 50 : 23 the Lord says that he who sacrifices praise glorifies me. Therefore, the lips touched by the blood-stained hand of Jesus, the word that comes from that way is holy, keeps covenants, and is a word that pleases the king with a sacrifice of thanksgiving.
'Your cheeks are like bursting pomegranates between your veils.' It manifests the presence of God. of Manavati, the assembly; It is emphasized that the face should be filled with the presence of God. When Paul explains about this in the New Testament, in 2 Cor 3: 13,14, "We do not put a veil over the children of Israel, as Moses put a veil over his face, so that the end of the destruction will not be seen." Because it is mentioned in the scriptures that the veil has been removed by Christ. Thus, it is said here in poetic style that our cheeks, whose veil has been removed by Jesus Christ, i.e. our face, are as beautiful as pomegranates in His sight. Our face should always be towards Jesus instead of turning our face directly to this world that we are wearing a veil. It should be seen with the assurance that I will accept only Jesus. It also means that my cheeks are open only to Jesus. This verse is also mentioned in Song of Song6:7.
Touched and sanctified by Jesus Christ, our lips and words are pleasing in the sight of Christ. Let us who have received this divine blessing join ourselves in the work of Christ and let our lips and words proclaim the name of Christ. Then we will live in the presence of Christ. It will be beautiful in the eyes of Jesus Christ.
Does the word you speak glorify Christ? Are you experiencing God's presence?
