"There are fountains of water in the gardens, fountains of living water, and brooks flowing out of Lebanon."
In the previous verse, the 12th verse, it was said that the soul is a garden and it is protected by Christ, then in the 13th and 14th verses, there are trees and plants in the garden, which means that the soul bears fruit. In this verse, if the tree and plants in the garden are to bear fruit, it needs good water, that is, the living water that our soul needs is given by Jesus Christ.
"Fountains for Gardens" Here fountains for gardens refers to the spiritual nourishment of the church. It was prophesied in Isaiah 49:10 that Jesus Christ will be an eternal fountain for the church today. Jesus Christ also said that he came to fulfill the prophecies. In order for it to be fulfilled, Jesus Christ himself says in John 4:14 that the water that I will give you will not make you thirsty. It is a fountain of eternal life within a man. The soul of the Christian church today is thus nourished by Christ.
"The fountain of living water" Jesus Christ is the fountain of living water for the church today. In Jeremiah 2: 13, the Lord says that he is a fountain of living water. In Zechariah 14: 8, the scripture mentions that the living water goes to all the nations. In the same way, today Jesus Christ is the living water of the church and makes the soul of the church flourish in John 4:10. This also reveals the fulfillment of prophecy. Today the church, through faith, joyfully draw living water from the well of salvation; There are (Isaiah 12:3). When Christians as a church believe in Jesus Christ and come to him, he is the one who gives living water in our hearts. As the scriptures say, whoever believes in me, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water. (John 7:38).
"There are canals flowing from Lebanon." God created the world and created a garden called Eden. A river flowed from Eden and parted from there. One of them was called Ibrat (Genesis 2:10,14). Then the boundary was given to Israel from Lebanon to the great river of the Euphrates (Joshua 1:4). The Lord God himself made this. And in 2 Kings 3:16,17, the Lord tells Elijah to cut a ditch. Because the channels for feeding the animals of Judah, Israel, and Edom represent the spiritual blessing and joy that Jesus Christ will bring to the church. (Psalm 46:4).
Beloved ones! This verse indicates that Jesus Christ is the fountain of life, the water of life, and the stream of life in the souls of his people, the church.
Is this nourishment available to your soul?
