‘The fig tree is ripe; The vines also give off a floral scent; My love! My beauty! Get up.”
The fig tree and the vine refer to the church, Christians. The fig tree is another sign of the coming spring of the congregation. In Matthew 24:32, the coming of Jesus Christ is told by the parable of the fig tree. 'Learn a parable from the fig tree; You will know that spring is near when it sprouts and sprouts.” Here we can see in this verse that the fig tree which is the church has sprouted and ripened. That means the church has given good fruits. The time that Jesus Christ spoke of has been fulfilled. It indicates that this is the time when the church will be taken over by Jesus Christ.
Likewise the vine refers to the church (John 15:5). Vines are too weak and self-supporting, to be fixed in one place, always dependent on something else; Depending on it, it will grow taller, and give off a floral scent. At the same time it bears more fruit. Likewise, Christians as a church are weak among themselves. They cannot grow by themselves. Fruits cannot be given in their lives. Their strength is in Christ, they are sustained by Him, they depend on Him; Sustained by Him they grow into the fullness of Christ; And they become odoriferous in Christ by joining him and abiding in him as a true flag. They bear much fruit to the glory of Christ. Because they are in Christ they abide in Him forever, never perishing, but have eternal life.
Now Jesus Christ looked at the church and said 'My beloved! My beauty! "Get up" will one day resound in the mid-air. Then we as a church will qualify to go with him. Let us become fruit bearers in Christ.
