Matthew, 5:10. "Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven."
Our God is righteous. He loves righteousness. We who are justified by the blood of Jesus must also dedicate ourselves to live righteously. Scripture warns us that you will not enter the kingdom of heaven unless our righteousness exceeds the righteousness of the Pharisees.
When there is no justice in this world, I normally think, how is it possible for me to live a righteous life. The Scriptures testify that Noah lived during a time when there were wicked people all around him. but still Bible testifies that he was righteous. In some situations we may experience suffering when we act justly. Yet we must be zealous in the execution of divine justice.
In many situations we will be proud to show our self-righteousness. When we live righteously before God, we are freed from sin and guilt. Scripture says "let him who does right continue to do right" [Rev: 22: 11]. Our spiritual hunger Should be to fulfill God's righteousness. We can suffer for it and become part of the kingdom of God. Amen.
