song of song 8:3

The comfort of Jesus Christ to the church

"His left hand shall be under my head, and his right hand shall embrace me."

This is a verse of comforting oneself in Christ. The church is saying in faith that Jesus Christ will never forsake the church. It is about the comfort and warmth that the church needs as it passes through a world full of pain and suffering.

Imagine a scene where we hold a baby in our arms, our left hand supports the baby's head and our right hand hugs the baby. Likewise, Jesus Christ embraces and supports each of us today with His arms.

The church is saying that Jesus Christ never forsakes the church and always endures (Psalm 37:24). It is about the comfort and warmth that the church needs as it passes through a world full of pain and suffering. The church is certain that no one can snatch the church out of Nazar's hand (John 10:27-29). The left hand that supports the head and strengthens the neck, the loving and gracious right hand gently embraces the congregation. Whom does Jesus Christ embrace? Everyone? No. Whoever receives the kingdom of God like a little child, he embraces them (Mark 10: 15, 16). He blesses the church today as he blessed the little children then.

In Proverbs 3:16 it is said that in his right hand is peace, and in his left hand is riches and weight. And in Colossians 3:1, we must seek the things that are above at the right hand of God, and in Ecclesiastes 10:2, the heart of the wise will seek the things at the right hand, that is, it will seek the eternal life that is above at the right hand of God. Not only that, it is also said in Unnathapattu 2:6.

Are you embraced by Christ?
