Song of Song 7:8

I said, "I will climb up the palm tree and take its leaves; Even now your breasts are like grapes and the fragrance of your nose is like guavas.”

I said, 'I will go up from the palm tree and take its leaves;' In the previous verse Christ compared the church to a palm tree. To know the fruit of the church like a palm tree, this verse says, I will go up to the palm tree and take its leaves. That is, the palm represents justice; The petals represent the fruit of righteousness. Jesus Christ looks at the church and says; You are saved and justified by me, O church; By that justice; I enjoy the fruitful life that is found in you (Philippians 1:10). It is a word that Jesus Christ looks at this church and says with joy that he will climb up the palm tree of righteousness and take hold of the leaf of its righteous fruit.

Here the word begins with 'even now thy breasts are like grapes'. This means that your breasts were like grapes before. Even now it is like grapes (we have seen in the previous verse what Sthanam is). That is, this passage explains that the church always abides in Christ.

“Your nose smells like guavas” The nose is capable of smelling good and bad. Similarly there are two things in this world namely holiness and sin. The Lord Jesus Christ expects from us the fragrance of holiness. We see in Isaiah 11:3 that the fear of the Lord is his sweet savor. "The fear of the Lord is a sweet savor to Him." Likewise, the Lord expects in us today the fragrance of salvation, the fragrance of prayer, and the fragrance of royalty that is said in Thy 3:6. We know that guava was an important fruit in Israel. He emphasizes this spiritual fragrance by comparing it to the fruit.

Beloved ones! Jesus Christ speaks here of the gracious life that we are given by His righteousness. Are we justified today? Are we bearing fruit in our lives? Similarly, do we have the love and faith expected from the Lord Jesus Christ church today? Do we have the right fragrance to fear the Lord? Let's think about it.

Is the fruit of righteousness seen in your life?
