Song of Song 7:5

'Your head is like Mount Carmel; Your hair is bloody; The king faints in the robes.”

"Your head is like Mount Carmel" Mount Carmel is a coastal mountain range in northern Israel that stretches southeast from the sea in central Israel. When Ahab saw Elijah, he said, 'Aren't you the one who is causing trouble in Israel?' Elijah Baal challenged prayer; A contest was arranged on Mount Carmel to prove the true God. 400 prophets of Baal slaughtered bulls and placed them on the altar to call upon Baal. To no avail, Elijah slaughtered the bulls and placed them on the altar and cried out to the Lord. Fire came down from heaven and consumed the sacrifice. The people said that the Lord who answers by fire is the true God (1 Kings 18:17-39). And this Mount Carmel has been a prosperous part of the land of Israel.

Jesus Christ is looking at the church and saying, like this prosperous Mount Carmel, your head (Proverbs 10:6) will be blessed and prosperous, and the Holy Spirit is pouring down on the church today, just as fire descended in the days of Elijah. It also refers to the anointing of Christians as a church (Leviticus 8:12).

'Thy hair has become rathamparamaya' Rathamparam is a reddish-purple color (sunana yane prasidana). In this place rathambaram (rotating) refers to the use of kings, nobles and the wealthy (Daniel 5 : 29, Esther 8 : 15, Luke 16 : 19). Jesus Christ looks at the congregation and says in my sight you have a special recognition like kings, princes and rich people. And the hair of the head signifies the Nazarenes, dedicated to the Lord, and holiness. Likewise Christ says that you who live holy and dedicated to me are approved by me today. And blood means preciousness. Here head hair refers to holiness. In other words, the bridegroom is saying here that the sanctity of the church has come at a price.

'The king faints in his robes' Usually there is an area called the courtyard (enasayanaya) for kings to walk in palaces. That is what we call walking shoes. This is what is said here that Jesus Christ looks at the church from his place with wonder, joy and love. In Psalm 45: 11, it is said, 'Then the king will be loved by your beauty;' : 20) We, the church, who are still living in the age of grace, are truly blessed. He dwells among us. Praise be to God.

Are you spiritually blessed and exalted by Christ?
