'My dove and my uttam are one; She was the only child of her mother; She is wonderful to the one who got her;; The daughters saw her and greeted her;; Rajastris and concubines adored her.”
To understand this verse we have to relate it to the previous verse. There the Lord Jesus Christ has indicated three groups. But in this verse, 'My dove and my uttam are one'' he says to the congregation in singularity. Christ speaks of the church as a dove. We have seen this in your 4:1. At the same time he says that the congregation is Uttamiye. Who are the best? The Bible says that those who walk according to the law of the Lord (Psalm 119: 1), the patient is meek, the one who controls his spirit is good (Proverbs 16:32), the patient is good (Ecclesiastes 7:8), the one who praises the Lord is good. (2 Corinthians 10:18) These are the good people. . Uttami is one who devotes herself only to her beloved. And when we say church here, all Christians are included in it and come together. In Ephesians 4:4-6, the scriptures say that we are all one in Christ, because there is one faith, one body, one spirit, one Lord, one faith, and one baptism.
'She is her mother's only child; She is excellent to her own;” Jerusalem is the mother of us all (Gal 4:26). What this means is that this passage explains to us that we are independent spiritual Israelites born according to the promise. In Gal 4:21-27; This is illustrated by the histories of Isaac and Ishmael. Those who have faith in Christ today are born of the Holy Spirit, regenerated, and become true descendants of Abraham according to the promise made to Abraham through true faith. In Galatians 4:26, Jerusalem is said to be independent. We are spiritually independent Israelites. The mother of us all is independent Jerusalem.
'She is excellent to her own;' According to the promise given to Abraham, when we remain faithful in this relationship that we have received through true faith and rebirth as spiritual Israelites, we, the church, are beautiful in the eyes of Jesus Christ.
'The daughters saw her and greeted her;; Rajastris and concubines adored her.” That is, other non-brides are looking at the congregation and saying, you are lucky, even though we are Rajastris, remarried, Christ has chosen you as His bride. Proverbs 31:30- "Beauty is deceitful, beauty is vain, but the woman who fears the Lord will be praised." If we fear the Lord and walk in His ways, that is beautiful in His eyes. 16:7, 1Peter 3:3,4).
Beloved ones! Do not faint in faith, blessed are all who are born of the promise by faith.
Do you realize that you are spiritual Israelites born according to the promise?
