"Thy teeth are like a flock of sheep that are washed and shed, and not barren but double."
Jesus Christ is describing the church. In this verse he compares the congregation to 'teeth'. So we have to look at the special function of teeth based on the Vedas. Generally, the teeth grind the food that gives health to the body. Similarly, Pun denotes laughter which expresses happiness.
(1) Looking at how teeth are spoken of in the scriptures from a spiritual point of view, the rest of the teeth in Amos 4:6 refers to lack of food. But in this verse the teeth are compared to a herd of goats with double youngs. It means prosperity. Prosperity of teeth means the blessing of no shortage of food. That is, every day spiritual manna is given to the church by Jesus Christ, and the church of Christ is prosperous.
(2) In Genesis 49 : 12 it is said that the teeth of the tribe of Judah were made white by milk. In 1 Peter 2:3 Paul refers to the Word of the Lord. That is, this passage indicates that the church is sanctified by the Word.
In this verse it is compared to a flock of goats whose teeth are barren. This means that the teeth of the church (spiritual manna, spiritual blessing and sanctification by the word) are those who receive their own spiritual characteristics and give fruit to others.
Also shows teeth smile. That is, according to the word that the church should always be happy in the Lord (Philippians 4: 4), the church in the Lord shows that it is happy and strong because of God's love even in the midst of suffering.
Beloved ones! This verse shows that Christ is saying that the church receives spiritual manna through Jesus Christ, abides in that blessing, is sanctified by the word of truth, and bears fruit in Christ. And this verse is also said in Psalm 4:2 and expresses the holiness of the church and the joy that comes to Jesus Christ because of it.
Are you abiding in the word of truth and bearing fruit?
