'I am my lover's, and my lover is mine; He feeds among the lilies.”

As the vine abides in the plant, so the church abides in Jesus Christ.

'I am my lover's, and my lover is mine;' This verse reveals God's new covenant. In Ab 8:10 the Lord says that the oaths of the Lord will be written on the hearts of the people, and I will be their God and they will be my people. And Jesus Christ says about the word that reveals the love and unity that Jesus Christ has for the church, through which he says, "You will know that I am in you" (John 14: 20, 21). Those who receive his commandments and walk in them, can abide in him. Verse 21 tells us that one must obey the word of the Lord. This is the main condition of salvation that comes from the source of Christ. It is impossible for those who love Jesus and strive to obey Him He has given special love, grace and favor in His deep presence.

'He feedeth among the lilies;' here the lily refers to the church. Jesus Christ intercedes with the church. Today he intercedes with us through the scriptures; and the fellowship continues through the Spirit within us.
