Song of Song 6:10

"Who is she who is beautiful like the moon, bright like the sun, fierce like a flying army, rising like the night sky?"

Here the beauty, presence, majesty and glory of the Christians as a church is said. The congregation is described in four ways.

"Beauty like the moon" we see in Job 31:26 that the moon is glorious. It was created to give light to the world in darkness (Ps 136:9) and to know the times (Ps 104:19). Thus the congregation is compared to the beauty of the Lord's creation, the moon.

"Bright like the sun" Scripture describes Jesus Christ as the sun (Mal 4:2, Matt 17:2, Revelation 21:23). The Vedas compare the Lord's presence, beauty and glory to the sun. But in this verse we see that the congregation is compared to the brightness of the sun. That is, it is said that when the world is in the darkness of sin, the church that has received the light of Jesus Christ is as bright as the sun. The light that comes into the world and shines on every man is the true light (John 1:9) and the church shines through Christ.

As an army flying banners, Jesus Christ compares the church to an army that carries a banner after winning battles. Those who win battles will fly their flag upwards. This is a symbol of success. Kediumanava means valor. Who is the church at war with today? As the scriptures say, they are at war with our adversary, Satan. As it is said in Ephesians 6: 11-18, we should be strong in the power of the Lord's strength, put on the whole armor of God and overcome the works of the devil. He is the one who accustoms the church to spiritual warfare (Psalm 144:1). Therefore, as it is said in Joshua 1:9, be strong and strong. This is what Christ expects of us. Jesus Christ is saying to the church that is victorious in the spiritual war, that you, my church, are as valiant as an army that has fought and won. So Christ speaks through this verse that you are beautiful, pure, strong and steadfast in my sight.

"As a cross" refers to Jesus Christ (Luke 1:79, Hosea 6:3). We see in the book of Isaiah that the people in darkness saw a great light. Similarly, when this world is in darkness, it mentions that the light of the morning (Jesus Christ) Arunodaya came into the church. , is a question that is asked in wonder after seeing the congregation benefited by Christ. A surprising question is raised here looking at the assembly.

Beloved ones! If we too today truly have within us the Sun of Righteousness, Jesus Christ, we can be light to the world and give light to others. If we are true Christians and have Jesus Christ fully within us, the world will surely look at us and ask this question. Who are these people? A great question arises as a surprise to us among the Gentiles as to who they are. Will we qualify for it, let's think.
