"His eyes are like the eyes of doves, washed with milk, and well-encrusted."
The eyes of Jesus Christ are still eyes that shed tears for us today. (Luke 19:41, John 11:35). Although it is said that there are many gods in the world, Jesus is the only one who cries for us and loves us; We may think that I am the only one crying; No, when His children weep, Jesus Christ weeps with them. Jesus who wept for Lazarus (John 11:35) suffers for us today and sets us free. No one can give us such love.
The vision of Jesus Christ is different, our vision is different, the vision he sees anywhere on earth is different; The Lord weeps for the people; Why should he shed tears? He has affection and concern for people in his heart. So when people turn away from Him, when sin and iniquity abound on earth, when people perish without knowledge, He weeps for people.
The eyes of Jesus Christ have been compared to the eyes of a dove. Scripture equates dove eyes with peace and holiness. As doves look only to their mate, so the eyes of Christ's love are to man, the work of His creation. 'His eyes are on the ways of men; He sees all their ways.” (Job 34:21). His loving and beauteous eyes, the eyes that deliver His people from all their trials and tribulations, with compassion and care. Also in Zechariah 3:9, 4:10 it is mentioned as the seven eyes of God. The seven eyes may represent his omniscience and the depth of his vision over humans. And His eyes are eyes of grace and forgiveness (Exodus 34:9).
'There are those washed in milk and adorned with finery.' The eyes of Christ are filled with the wisdom of truth and the love of beauty. Paul refers to the Word of God (1 Peter 2:3). Perfection is related to love (Colossians 3:14). And in Revelation 1:14, 19:12 - Jesus Christ's eyes are like fire jewels, in Jeremiah 5:3 -, looking for the truth, in Proverbs 22:12 - guarding wisdom, in Amos 9:8 - placed against the sinless kingdom. And in 1 Peter 3:12, it is said that the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous. Thus the scriptures explain to us how the eyes of Jesus Christ are beautifully affected.
