Song of Song 4:8

'Come with me from Lebanon, my bride! Come with me from Lebanon. Look down from the top of Amana, from the top of Senir Ermon, from the dens of lions, from the mountains of civets.”

'Come with me from Lebanon, my bride! Come with me from Lebanon.” Consider Christ's loving invitation to the church, as found in Psalm 45:10-11. In this verse, Lebanon refers to the world. It means people who are not strong in Christ. Christ calls his church to come out of the world; That is, the Lord is indicating here that you come from the worldly life to the kingdom of God.

It is said in Deuteronomy 3: 25, 11: 24 that Lebanon is the land of Avith given by God to the people of Israel. And these Gentile Abites were placed by God in Lebanon. Because it is said in Judges 3:1-8 that to test whether the people of Israel obey God's command or not.

Here the bridegroom calls his bride, the congregation, to come with me from Lebanon, where the Gentiles are, the Aviites. That is to say, from the heathen's character, character, and deed against the Lord, my bride! This verse says come follow me.

'Look down from the crown of Amana, from the crown of Senir Hermon, from the dens of lions, from the mountains of civets,' says the Lord. Amana in 2Kings 5:12 is the Hebrew word Apna, the mountain near Damascus, the fountain that issues from it is Eudiayo, Senir is a peak (Deuteronomy 3:9 and 1Chronicles 5:23). Both these areas represent the mountainous region with water resources.

These mountains looked pleasant, but they contained lion dens and chives. Now the congregation dwells among lions (Psalm 57:4). Jesus Christ calls the people living among wicked people in such a wicked world as his bride.

The prosperity of Israel can be seen very beautifully when we look at the phrase 'from the gift of Amana'. . 'Senir Ermon' is a beautiful hillock. And the dens of lions and the hill of civets represent a dangerous place. The Lord Jesus Christ tells us that the prosperity of Israel is seen from the top of the world, that is, the beauty of Israel is more beautiful when seen from the top of Senir, Ermon, Amana. Likewise, you know my safety and peace only when you are in a dangerous place. And what Jesus Christ is saying to the congregation is that you will know the beauty of the kingdom of God when you turn away from the view of the world and the lust of the world and obey my truth, that is, as said in Proverbs 9:6, we have to turn away from foolishness and walk in the way of wisdom through this verse. He teaches.

Do you desire to see the kingdom of God?
