song of song 4:10

"How delightful is your love; My sister! My bride! Your love is sweeter than wine! How fragrant are your perfumes than all the other Gandavarkas!”

'How delightful is your love; My sister! My bride!” As the previous verse says, we can see that the love the church has for Christ refers to how joyful it is. In Matthew 22: 37,38 - Jesus said to him: This is the first commandment: love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. "According to this command given to the church, Jesus Christ, the bridegroom, says here that the church loves in Christ, how pleasant is your love.

When we look at the verse of John 21:15-17, the Lord looks at Peter three times and asks this question, 'Do you love me'? Peter's life was not enough to achieve a great achievement with the Lord until he asked. But after that we can see that Peter stood zealously for the Lord, took up his cross and followed Him, died for Christ, and proved his love for the Lord Jesus Christ. This is the word he says about the disciples who realize the death of Jesus Christ on the cross and take up the cross after him. At the same time my sister! My bride! As we saw in the previous verse, this sentence indicates that we are sisters to Jesus Christ, the elder brother, and we are heartbroken to Jesus Christ, the bridegroom according to the heavenly plan.

'How sweeter is thy love than wine! How fragrant are your ointments than all the other castes!” Many things are said in the scriptures about wine. A sacrifice, a feast, a blessing, a sacrifice, a joyous meal, and many more. And the wine mentioned in this verse refers to the above things, but we compare it here with the sacrifice (Exodus 29:40-42, Numbers 15:7-10). Because this verse is speaking of the Lord Jesus Christ, referring to the wine offering that we give to Him (in the Old Testament). What this verse says prophetically is that it refers to the church offering itself as a drink offering for Christ as stated in 2 Timothy 4:6. It means that we consecrate everything to the body of Christ, the church. This is what Jesus Christ refers to as your love is sweeter than wine.

'Kandavarkam' He expects the fragrance of perfume from us. Parimamalathailam means anointing. When looking at Exodus 30:23, 24, 25, God gives a command through Moses. In it, they add white flour, olive oil, and cinnamon, as verse 30:25 says, 'Make a pure anointing oil, a pure anointing oil mixed with perfume, so that it may become a holy anointing oil.' This ointment represents anointing in the New Testament. The smell of anointing that we have leaves from us and gives that smell to those around us. It indicates that through anointed people, a benefit in the lives of others is obtained through that anointing. And the scriptures tell us that we can smell the knowledge of the Lord everywhere (2Cor 2:14).

Love and obedience to Jesus Christ are more pleasing to Christ than incense. He rejoiced in Christ's sanctification of His bride by imparting His own righteousness upon His church. The Bible says that love is from God (1 John 4:7) and we see that love is greater than all things in 1 Cor 13:13.

Beloved ones! What Jesus Christ expects of us today is that we truly and sincerely love Him? Besides that, do we live in the knowledge of knowing God? That's it. If there is a lack of loving God in our lives, turn your heart today and love God.

Do you love God?
