Song of Song 2:5

'Waste me with wine, soothe me with ghee;; I am saddened by love.”

Looking at the preceding verses, Jesus Christ adorns the church with His glory. And because of His infinite love, Jesus clothed us with worthy clothing and took us to the King's banquet. So this verse is the word that the congregation says in wonder in joy. He has called us unworthy, saved us by His grace and given us the robe of His righteousness. Remembering this we should always be thankful and praise Him. It is a wonderful word that expresses the joy of remembering the great blessing He has given us. It is not a sad word or a sad word. It is a word that expresses the joy received from the Lord.

Refresh me with wine, soothe me with guavas; Wine in this verse refers to dry grapes (suyalayle). In 1 Chronicles 12:40, it is referred to as an expression of joy. And we can recite this with the Lord's word in a spiritual sense. The Kichili tree represents Jesus Christ. Chichili fruit represents the fruit of salvation manifested by Jesus Christ.

The church says that we are blessed with the fruit of salvation every day in our lives, blessed by the word of the Lord and blessed by the Holy Spirit. Christ comforts His New Testament church with the Holy Spirit, the Comforter (John 14:16, John 16:13). We, the congregation, have this privilege of being with God. So our joy and excitement knows no bounds. The spirit, the soul, the body, all these three have been nourished by the love of God, perfected and made worthy of the love of my beloved. This is the greatest blessing of God's love.

I am saddened by love.” It is a wonderful word that expresses happiness. How to understand this

(1) They told him that Joseph was alive, and that he was ruler over all the land of Egypt. His heart fainted; He did not believe them (Genesis 45:26). A pleasant surprise given to Jacob in this verse is a negative picture of that incredible joy. In the same way, it is said in joy thinking about this supreme blessing that Jesus Christ has given us.

 (2) In 1 Kings 10:4, 5 the queen of Sheba was astonished when she saw the entrance hall of the Lord's temple. The church marvels at such an incredible experience of awe in Christ.

Do you rejoice in Christ?
