Song Of Song 2:4

He took me to the banquet hall; His flag that flew over me was love.”

The feast road refers to what is yet to come (Isaiah 25:6) and it also refers to the marriage feast of the Lamb (Revelation 19:9). If the party wants to enter the road, the bridegroom should know. The church says that Christ forewarned him and led him into the banquet hall. Took away refers to the past tense. How do we know this? The discerned church has the assurance that it has already spiritually entered into communion with Christ.

The kings would invite nobles, army chiefs and high-ranking people to the feasts they would organize. Likewise, if Jesus Christ is taking us on the road to the feast, the chosen Christians are very important to him. Generally, when we go to a party, we wear good clothes. In the same way, Christians as a congregation should be clothed in spiritual clothing and qualified to go to the feast of the King Jesus Christ. Improperly dressed Christians are not admitted to the banquet (Matthew 22:11,12).

What kind of worthy clothing should be seen in us?

1. The garment of salvation - Isaiah 61:10

2. The robe of righteousness - Isaiah 61 : 10

3. Garment of praise - Isaiah 61 : 03

are to be found within us.

As Christians, let us test ourselves to see if we are worthy to wear such a garment. If not, let's get ready. In the scriptures, Jesus Christ is looking at us like the father who dressed his youngest son and saw his beauty when he came back to him (Luke 15:21,22). Perhaps if we feel that we are lacking and turn to Him today, Christ is the one who dresses us in the same high robe and takes us to the feast.

"His flag that flies over me is love" Jesus Christ is our flag, and the love and glory He puts on us is said in Isaiah 11:10. I am invited and encouraged to come to him by showing the flag of love towards me, the congregation. Through the love of Jesus Christ, we have this merit and the privilege of going to the banquet hall.

Are you hoping to go to the banquet hall?
