Song of Song 1:9

My love! I will compare you to the sackcloth of Pharaoh's chariots.”;

Christ, who in the previous verse called 'the fairest of women', in this verse calls the congregation 'my beloved'. Solomon's purchase of horses from Egypt (from Pharaoh) is mentioned in 2 Chronicles 9:28. And pari means horse. Baunju means troops or armies.

Christ's church is compared to "horses" for their strength, majesty and beauty. They are brave and noble in Christ and in His grace, to endure hardships, reproaches, and persecutions for His sake, and to fight against the Lord's enemy, Satan. Likewise, the horse carries the king in his chariots and carries him everywhere, and the chariot signifies salvation” (Habakkuk 3:8). Today, Jesus Christ looks at the church and says, I will save other people through you. That is, my beloved, you must take me to all the places I want to go in the world, the church, you must take me to the places where there is no gospel.

Beloved ones! As a congregation, let us dedicate ourselves to carrying the chariot of salvation throughout the world. Christ will give us the strength and grace to lead the way.

Are you evangelizing? Are you leading others to salvation?
