Song of Song 1:5

“Daughters of Jerusalem! Like the tents of Cathar and the curtains of Solomon, I am black and beautiful.”

'Daughters of Jerusalem!' It refers to the people of Israel according to the Old Testament and the church according to the New Testament. , here two symbols (Cathar's tent, Solomon's veil) are said to be black. He compares the blackness of the tabernacles built by Ishmael's second son Kedar (Genesis 25:13, 1Chronicles 1:29) to Solomon's dark curtains. Also, black here refers to a hated situation.

Here we can see believers who came from among the Gentiles saying that even though they were black in the eyes of the church, the Lord had made them beautiful. What kind of beauty? 1 Peter 3:4. It is said in 'The character that is hidden in the heart, the gentle and peaceful spirit that is the immortal adornment, will be your adornment; That is precious in the sight of God.” Denotes beauty.

This is a poetic style in which the bride, the bride, beautifully says that because God has drawn us, we have become beautiful.

How are you in the Lord today?
