I will call upon God; The Lord will save me (Psalm 55:16)
People live in this world without calling out to God. They believe and follow falsehoods. In the end they will be disappointed. But I will call upon my God to save me. He will save me from all troubles. He will answer my call. Look at the hope of the psalmist.
In the next verse I will meditate and plead even in the middle of the twilight and he will hear my voice (Psalm 55:17). From this we know that David had a regular prayer life. Those who do not have regular prayer times cannot grow much in prayer. Like David, we should pray more in our troubled times. We see that the Lord Jesus prayed the whole night before identifying the disciples.
When our hearts are warmed by the word of God, when we meditate on God and realize the omnipotence and greatness of God and pray, our prayer is also powerful. It will help us to pray fervently. Let's follow this regular prayer life and pray today. This is very necessary. Amen.
