He is the cause of peace (Micah 5:5).  We live in an unstable world. Everywhere you look, there is a lack of peace. There is a lack of peace from country to country, and the situation of peace is everywhere. Lack of peace takes a heavy toll on many families. A lack of peace reigns in the life and heart of the individual.

The above verse was spoken by the prophet Micah about the coming Messiah, the Lord Jesus. He is the cause of peace, He is the source of peace, where there is no peace there is no peace. Where there is no rule of Jesus there is no peace. Is Jesus the head of our home? Is his rule at home? Is His Word put first? Have to think about it.

Look at what Jesus said to the distraught disciples after his crucifixion: In the evening, where the disciples were gathered, the doors being locked for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood in the middle and said: Peace be with you (John 20:19). Jesus alone gives us peace. Peace I leave with you, not as the world gives I give to you. May your heart not be troubled or afraid (John 14:27). He said that. Let us fully receive Jesus Christ for our peace. Amen.
