Hebrews 12:1 . "Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us."
The goal is not to focus on many things at the same time. A person cannot be a doctor, an engineer or a teacher at the same point of time.
Many have the desire to live a life pleasing to God but fail in it. At the same time that he or she tries to live in a way that pleases God, money, material possessions, honor, and so on drifts them apart from the cause.
Daniel tried to keep himself pure as God wanted. Nehemiah's goal was to build the walls of Jerusalem. They did not set many goals but ran to the only goal that was the will of God.
When we receive our goal from God, focus on Jesus and move on, we can live a victorious life. The movement towards the goal will qualify us for higher benefits. Amen.
