Message of Crucifixion

1 Corinthians 1:18 "For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God."

The painful situation in some people's lives cannot be fully understood by others. It can only be understood by those who are experiencing that difficulty.

Similarly, Paul writes in 1 Corinthians about being born into the kingdom of God through the salvation of Jesus Christ. For those who have not experienced it, it is difficult to understand.

Jesus being wipped, spoken ill off on the cross and his tortured death has brought the message of salvation to many. This may seem “foolish” to some people. Yet Paul preached about this!

Some expect salvation to come through a powerful king or through some signs or through talented achievements  (1 Corinthians 1:22) . But God brought salvation, surprisingly, only to those who believe in Him and experience it.

God gave himself as a sacrifice on the cross and  brought forgiveness of sins, God's wisdom and his might for his people. For those who have felt such salvation, it is the strength we get and need every day. Praise be to God for the salvation. Amen.
