Longsuffering is part of the fruit of the Spirit
The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness. (Galatians 5:22)
The word longsuffering can mean kindness or forbearance.
Man deserves punishment because of his sin. God, in His longsuffering, does not immediately punish men but gives them a chance to repent (Romans 2:4).
Even though man is sinful and wicked, God is working with him patiently (Exodus 34.6). The purpose of God's longsuffering is to pray for people to repent (Romans 2:4, 2Pet 3.9,15).
As children of God, we should be patient like our heavenly Father (1 Cor 13:4-5). God is patient with us (Eph 4:31-32), and vengeance belongs to God (Rom 12:19).
Sometimes long-suffering has the meaning of long-suffering, of enduring with patience when tested in divine matters.
That is, when the Holy Spirit cultivates the fruit of patience in a person, he will not lose his faith and wait in the community of the Lord. Accepts his failures. He will not feel that he has failed. He does not allow anger to rule his emotions. A person with this quality will protect himself with long patience when tested. He does not rush into anything. He does not rush to blame, scold or punish anyone. At the same time, he will not fall down in very difficult situations and painful trials.
As longsuffering grows in us more and more we grow into the image of Christ. Let us be steadfast in Christ and have long patience Amen.
