Happiness! "May the God of faith fill you with all joy and abundance of faith, so that you may abound in faith through the power of the Holy Spirit" (Romans 15:13).
The Bible mentions many joys. It is difficult to give a simple explanation for happiness.
Even the wicked rejoice over the righteous.
There are many levels of happiness. In it the joy of the children of God must be holy and pure. The joy of the righteous comes from the Spirit of God (Phil 4:4; Gal 5:22) and such joy is not for our present life but for our future salvation (Rom 5:2; 8.18; 1 Pet 1:461.
This happiness is better than temporary happiness. Why?
This joy is the fruit of the Spirit. This happiness is not determined by circumstances. This quality of happiness remains constant in every situation. That is, in good circumstances and in bad circumstances, this quality of happiness remains unchanged. Because God is the foundation of it. Spiritual joy will help you endure even the most difficult things. Because this fruit is enriched in the believer by the Holy Spirit.
The apostle Paul understood this when he wrote his epistle to the Thessalonians. In great tribulation you became imitators of us and of the Lord, with the joy of the Holy Spirit.
The joy of the fruit of the Spirit is far superior to the joy that this world can give. There are few things we can be happy about in this world. There is nothing wrong with that. Worldly happiness cannot fully satisfy a man in a difficult situation. But only when the joy of the Spirit comes to a person, will he experience complete happiness. The joy of the world is different from the joy of the Spirit. Joy of spirit comes as a result of our faith in God.
May we receive the true peace of Christ. For that we will abide in Christ Amen.
