Psalm 1:1. "Walk not in the counsel of the wicked, nor stand in the way of sinners, nor sit where the scoffer sits,"
We need good friendships, we need good friends, we need good fellowship, but friendships should do us good. Good entertainment will come from the friendship of some people. But sometimes they destroy the good qualities we have. If we are not committed to good qualities, we become addicted to the bad qualities of others.
A mighty nation was torn in two by King Solomon's son Rehoboam. It was because of the advice of his friends. Likewise, the attitude of accepting the advice of the elderly has disappeared.
That is why the scripture advises not to follow the counsel of the wicked. Those who have made the Lord Jesus as a friend are strong in good qualities. They are not easily affected by the wicked. Amen.
