Psalm 139:24. See if there is in me a path that causes pain and guide me in the eternal path

We see David clearly praying that he would examine me. My way of life in this worldly life, my relationship with God in my spiritual life, my clothes, my style, my habits, my friendships, and my work, can go on and on. Do I hate myself and take up my cross and walk in the way my Lord walked? Let us agree that God will examine me.

David specifically prays to search his own heart. No matter how hard we try to make ourselves appear good in our outward lives, only God knows the true state of our hearts. I am the one who searches the heart and examines the inward parts (Jer. 17:10) says the Lord.

Let us commit ourselves to God. Let's seek a truthful life, a pure heart, healthy thoughts, the way shown by the scriptures. Then the Holy Spirit will guide us in the eternal way. May the Holy Spirit sustain us to live a guilt free life. Amen.
