Matthew 6:33 Seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things shall be given unto you.
A senior police officer was present. He has an only son. He prays well before engaging in anything. He used to start his work only after praying. Apart from working hours, he spends most of his time in prayer and scripture reading. A doubt arose in the mind of his son who grew up seeing this from an early age. "The town respects father when he sees him; there are a thousand officials who can do what he commands. There are many people who are afraid of him. Despite all this, is it not like his lack of self-confidence that he prays for everything he touches? His position and intelligence are the background of his success?" This question was in his mind but he was never asked directly.
He also brought him up with good piety and discipline. However, his continued success, wealth and adolescence made him think this way. One day he boldly asked his father about this. Dad wasn't angry. He smiled and put his hand on her shoulder. He did not answer. That evening he took him to his training place. He put a bullet in his hand. It is an unused high capacity bullet. He had already told him about it. He gave him the bullet and asked him, "Son! Do you know its power?" He said: "This is very powerful father. You can even knock down an elephant from a distance with it."
Dad took an apple from the bag and placed it on top of a stone. He looked at him and said. "Don't knock down the elephant with that bullet. Let's knock down this apple." The son did not understand anything. However, he threw the bullet at it. "It's not even on the apple," said Dad again, patting him on the shoulder. "It's a powerful bullet. It's capable of taking down even a large animal. However, because it didn't leave the gun, it couldn't even take down a small apple."
He said, "No matter how much skill and strength you have, you can't win even a small thing if you don't wait on the Lord's feet. Without a gun, a bullet is just a useless piece of metal. Similarly, efforts without prayer will not bear fruit."
Now the son was proud....not because he was a great officer but because he was a good prayer warrior...! You too are a powerful bullet, when fired from the gun called "Prayer"...!
Amen! Hallelujah!!
